Happy New Year, and happy birthday to our namesake, Ralph Waldo “Petey” Greene. A pioneering community organizer, civil rights activist, and media personality, Greene  used his platform to raise awareness about issues from income inequality to the structural barriers facing formerly incarcerated people. He was born January 23, 1931.
