December 2025 Newsletter
As 2025 winds to a close, I want to share my warmest wishes for the coming year with each and every member of the Petey Greene Program family—our students, our volunteers, our alumni, our staff, our donors, and you.
It’s been a year of meaningful progress, strategic expansion, and capacity building for the Petey Greene Program and the Puttkammer Center for Educational Justice. We:
Reached more students than ever—over 2,200 at 71 programming sites
Launched several new programs fostering digital literacy, English language learning, and more
Continued building College Bridge, our college readiness program
Trained more incarcerated scholars via our Inside Tutors program to support peer learning communities inside prisons
Strengthened volunteer recruitment and engaged more university partners to support growth.
We enter 2026 with momentum and a clear vision. Our focus areas will include:
Deepening digital and workforce learning pathways
Developing programs like STEM Unbarred to meet the individualized educational needs of system-impacted learners
Expanding our programming to serve new areas in alignment with our Strategic Plan.
Thank you for your support and warm wishes for a peaceful and joyful holiday season,
Jeffrey Abramowitz
