Mike Scronic is the GED Program Manager at Rikers Island for The Petey Greene Program, leveraging his experience in adult education and management. Mike first taught adult education in federal prison while incarcerated and then upon re-entry into society, serving the New York City community. He also delivered Parenting Inside/Out (PIO) to incarcerated mothers and fathers at Nassau County Correctional Center. Mike managed both the DYCD daytime and WIOA nighttime GED programs at the Stanley Isaacs Community Center in East Harlem. He also relies on experience from his first career in finance, where as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, he managed Exchange Traded Funds.

Mike is excited to help the incarcerated achieve their academic goals and better their lives. He holds a BAS in Mathematical and Computational Sciences and Quantitative Economics from Stanford University, and an MBA in Finance from the University o Chicago. While at the U of C, he worked with the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center to analyze and incorporate data to improve staff training.
